guests gather

Lympstone Fishery & Harbour Board Chairman Col. G F Wheeler informs
the gathering of the
five year project to rebuild Compass Rose from a virtual hulk & declares
the moment of historic
significance due to the re-establishment of a licensed fishing vessel based
at Lympstone

the champagne awaits the hand of....

Mr D Litton who names the vessel in the traditional fashion

followed by the blessing

the splitting of the coconut and the flowing of the milk

the distribution of coconut and the throwing of petals with a wish for good fortune

and at nightfall, Compass Rose floats on the rising tide.

Thank you Jason, for organising a memorable Lympstone party. Good sailing & fishing.
